Possibly one of the most exciting tours of the year is happening now!

Macclesfield’s Racing Glaciers take elements of classic rock, post-punk, indie and good old fashioned song writing and mix it all together to create something unique and refreshing. This can been heard on latest single Animal, released those purveyors of quality music Killing Moon Records (well done KMR you’ve done it again!).

Yesterday (22nd November) saw the start of Racing Glaciers as the support slot on Coasts’ tour. This looks set to be a great run of dates (get tickets here http://kililive.com/artists/coasts). Coasts are currently riding high as a Rush of Blood was recently Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record.

If these bands are playing in your town, I recommend you to check them out (hurry as tickets are selling out fast), as this looks set to be one of the most exciting tours of the year. Go on then, what are you waiting for!

The Great Escape ends today, hats off to the people who run it!

So the Great Escape ends this evening. If the line up’s are anything to go by this has been a better year than previous ones. All the venues involved pulled out all the stops and surpassed themselves! But the best is yet to come!

This evening at the Green Door Store is one of the most exciting and talented musicians on the scene at the moment. I am talking about the only one Jeremiah Jae. Having exploded on the scene in 2008 with his Lunch Special mixtape, he then established himself as one of the Brainfeeder crew, he released his debut album Raw Money Raps in 2012. It was what we have come to expect from anyone associated with Flying Lotus’ label. It was dark, broody, glitchy, insanely listenable and brilliant. In August 2013 Jae jumped ship from Brainfeeder (a Ninja Tune subsidiary label) to Warp (the home of FlyLo). I thought that this was in interesting move, one that made me slightly sad as I love Ninja Tune, but going to Warp is not a bad deal (creatively) so I’m not that worried about the upcoming album.

I’ve digressed a bit. Tonight see Jae helping to bring the Great Escape to a fitting end. He will be playing at the Green Door Store (who have put on a stellar line up all weekend) at 10:45 PM (22:45 if you are in the military). This is one that I recommend you not to miss as it’s unsure how much longer Jae will be playing at smaller venues.

Here is the running order for the Green Door Store:

13:30 – Bokka

14:30 – The Dumplings

15:30 – Rebeka Evening

19:45 – Glory Glory

20:30 – The Scenes

21:15 – Vimes

22:00 – Tomas Barfod

22:45 – Jeremiah Jae

23:30 – Unknwn

00:15 – Erotic Market
