06/10/2016 – Parek and Singh-I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll (2016)

Dream Pop Duo Parekh and Singh release the most heartfelt song of the year, to date!

Nischay Parekh and Jivraj ‘Jiver’ Singh make the kind of music that remind you of the past, both musically and personally, but also makes you glad that you are alive right now. On their latest single, I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll taken form their debut album Ocean, Parek and Singh have crafted something that is as catchy as it is elegant. But a lot of its charm comes from its video. Pastiching everything Wes Anderon stands for, bright colours, sharp wardrobes, surreal sets and joyful abandon, it twists and skews its way along until its East meets West ending.

However the real moment of glee is when the music starts to hint that David Schwartz was producing. The levels of twee, pop, and that kooky waltz of his all culminate to create something that is hard not to smile at. And this is the music that Parekh and Singh make. In a world of aggressive and brutal music, it’s refreshing to hear something that reminds us that the world can, and is, a place where two people and fall in love.

Ocean is released on 28th October through Peacefrog Music

Thank you so much for sharing this song. I LOVE IT! I’ll start paying attention to their music. Reminds me a little of Ben Folds.

    • It does a bit doesn’t it. I think its a bit more upbeat than BB5, but I get what you mean.

  2. I have never heard this, it is a great song, thanks for sharing.
